CFB Pick'em — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

The short version

CFB Pick'em requires a free account (email + password) to play in a league with other people. We collect only what's needed to run leagues: your email, a display name, and the picks/tiebreaker guesses you enter. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or third-party analytics.

What we collect and store

When you create an account we store your email address, a hashed password, and the display name you choose. When you play in a league we store the picks and tiebreaker guesses you submit for each week, and which leagues you belong to. This data is hosted on our backend provider, Supabase (database and authentication).

Who can see your picks

Your picks and tiebreaker guess for a given week are private until that week locks (at the first kickoff of that week's slate). After the lock, they become visible to the other members of the same league — that's the point of the game, comparing picks and standings with your league. Your league's commissioner can see your picks at any time, including before lock, and can enter or adjust your picks on your behalf if you ask them to (for example, if you text them your picks). People outside your league never see your picks.

Network requests

Besides talking to Supabase to sign you in and sync league data, the app requests college football schedules and live scores from ESPN's public sports-data endpoints, and it may request market-based point-spread/moneyline context from Kalshi's public market data API. Both of these are informational-only data sources — the app itself involves no wagering of any kind — and these requests go directly from your device (or our servers, for scheduled updates) to the provider; they don't carry any personal information beyond what a standard internet request contains.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your personal data. We don't show ads. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Account and data deletion

You can delete your account yourself from inside the app: open the Leagues dashboard, scroll to account settings, and choose Delete account. Deletion is permanent and immediate — it removes your profile (email and display name), every pick and tiebreaker you've entered, and all of your league memberships. If you're the only commissioner of a league, the longest-standing remaining member becomes commissioner so the league keeps running; if you're the only member, the league is deleted with your account. If you'd rather not do it yourself, email us at the address below and we'll delete your profile and your picks.

Children

CFB Pick'em is not directed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change what data we collect or how it's used, we'll update this policy first and describe the change clearly.
